Powerload: an intelligent digital logistics platform that leaves nothing to chance – not even your paperwork

by Marisela Presa

If you’re thinking of establishing a business relationship with Powerload as a shipper, the first thing you should know is that this intelligent digital logistics platform is no ordinary scenario.

We are talking about a system that has managed to combine artificial intelligence, process automation, and an absolutely reliable human team so that every shipment, every document, and every step is completed without errors.

But of course, to be able to enjoy all those technological advantages and operate with total security, Powerload requires its shippers to meet certain conditions. It’s not pointless bureaucracy, but a way to guarantee that all parties involved play by the same rules and with full legal guarantees.

The first thing they will ask for is proof of your company’s tax identification, commonly known as the CIF, although today it’s called the NIF, or also the famous Modelo 036 if you are self-employed or have a small business.

And what is this for? Basically, so that Powerload  knows who to invoice, and so that you, as a shipper, can issue transport documents that are valid before the tax authorities. Without that number, there’s no way to start operating, because neither could the platform identify you, nor could you legally justify the goods you move. It’s the equivalent of your business ID card – as basic as it is necessary.

Along with that, Powerload requires two certificates that many people forget but are key: those proving that you are up to date with the Tax Agency and with Social Security. In plain English, that you owe neither taxes nor employee contributions.

Why so demanding? Because if your company carries debts, you could suffer seizures, penalties, or even a temporary closure, and that would obviously affect the cargo you have committed to move through the platform. Powerload, with its automated verification system, cannot afford that risk. Moreover, in the trading sector, trust is currency, and no one wants to do business with someone who does not meet their most basic obligations.

Another requirement you will encounter is the signing of a digital contract. No paperwork or endless meetings here: everything is done electronically, with full legal validity.

That contract regulates everything from the rates you will pay to how unforeseen events are resolved, including the protection of the data you share and the conditions of use of the platform. Think of it like the terms you accept in a transportation app or an online marketplace, but adapted to the logistics world. Powerload requires it so that both you and they have the rules of the game perfectly defined, thus avoiding misunderstandings that always end up being a headache.

And if your trading business is not limited to Spain but moves goods to or from other European Union countries, then you need something else: the famous VAT number, which is the identification number for intra-Community VAT purposes. Don’t panic, because in practice it is usually your own CIF or NIF with the letters “ES” in front.

What is it for? Basically, to be able to invoice correctly in cross-border operations without applying VAT, and above all so that the Tax Agency doesn’t fine you for not declaring those operations. Powerload, thanks to its artificial intelligence, automatically verifies that this number is valid in the European VIES system, so you won’t have to worry about manual checks. The platform does it for you.

Now comes an important clarification, because many people get confused about this. Powerload also mentions the possibility of requesting a “logistics operator license”, but be careful, you only need it if your company acts as such – that is, if you not only send your own goods but also store or manage the logistics of other companies. If you are a regular shipper, moving your own products, you do not need that license at all. The platform itself makes it clear so that no one wastes time on unnecessary procedures. That said, if your business grows and you start offering logistics services to third parties, you’ll know it’s time to apply for that permit.

In short, Powerload does not ask for all these documents to make your life difficult, but quite the opposite: so that the business relationship is solid, transparent, and free of surprises. After all, we are talking about a freight exchange that has invested in cutting-edge technology, artificial intelligence that checks every step, automation that speeds up processes, and highly reliable staff who oversee that everything works. Complying with these conditions is not an obstacle; it is the key to accessing an ecosystem where you focus on what you know how to do (move your goods) and the platform ensures that carriers arrive on time, paperwork is in order, and payments flow smoothly. So if you have everything in order, go ahead: Powerload is waiting for you.
