Logista, a Decade of Sustainable Leadership: From 85% Clean Kilometers in 2025 to 90% in 2026

by Marisela Presa

The company Logista, headquartered in Madrid and dedicated to comprehensive distribution and logistics, especially in the transport, pharmaceutical, tobacco, and retail sectors, consolidated a decade of leadership in sustainability in 2025. According to the latest report from the Carbon Disclosure Project (CDP), the company has maintained its A- rating in the Leadership category for the tenth consecutive year, standing out as the only European logistics operator to achieve this permanence. This recognition reflects a solid climate strategy and proactive management of environmental risks, including water security, where it has obtained a B rating.

The results of 2025 are marked by a key milestone: 85% of the kilometers traveled by its fleet were low-emission. This advance is the result of a multimodal transition based on three pillars: electrification of light vehicles, renewal of heavy fleets with Euro VI standards, and adoption of renewable fuels. Its urgent messaging subsidiary, NACEX by Logista, has been a driver of the ECOMOBILITY program, incorporating electric and hybrid vehicles for last-mile delivery, while the use of biofuels has been prioritized in long-distance transport.

The vision of the CEO, Iñigo Meirás, underscores that the integration of ESG criteria into decision-making has strengthened operational resilience and efficiency. This not only reduces environmental impact but also mitigates risks in the supply chain and offers customers a “responsible, reliable, and competitive” service. The company has thus aligned its growth with the objectives of the European Green Deal, demonstrating that transport decarbonization is viable without compromising productivity.

For 2026, Logista has set an even more ambitious goal: to raise low-emission kilometers to 90%. This objective will require accelerating fleet renewal, expanding electric charging infrastructure, and deepening agreements for the supply of advanced biofuels. Furthermore, the company will continue to optimize its routes using artificial intelligence and telemetry, maximizing energy efficiency in every link of the logistics chain, as several Spanish publications report.

In a context where environmental regulation is intensifying and competition demands transparency, Logista’s model serves as a sector benchmark. Its trajectory in the CDP evidences that sustainability is not only an ethical commitment but also a vector of innovation and competitive advantage. The projects for 2026 confirm that the company is not content with its track record but is advancing towards net-zero logistics, setting the course for the rest of the sector in Spain and Europe.

Beyond the numbers, Logista’s importance lies in its role as the backbone of the supply chain for essential sectors in Spain, such as pharmaceuticals, tobacco, and retail. Its ability to combine operational efficiency, resilience, and environmental leadership makes it a strategic player for the ecological transition of transport. By demonstrating that decarbonization is compatible with competitiveness, it not only secures its own future but also charts the roadmap for the entire logistics industry, contributing to an economic model where sustainability and productivity are two sides of the same coin.
