The Spanish Logistics Centre (CEL) brought together nearly 250 professionals for the thirty-fifth edition of its Logistics Excellence Awards, a record event that underscores the sector’s vitality.
These awards, celebrating their 35th anniversary, distinguish projects, careers and initiatives that are decisively modernising supply chains in Spain, having received 70 submissions in this call.
In the field of operational and collaborative excellence, the main award, sponsored by the Logistics Agency of the Community of Madrid, went to the Consum cooperative for its logistics synchrony project. Finalists in this category were CEVA Logistics, with an automation initiative, and TDI, for its digital transformation. Meanwhile, the express transport and distribution sector saw the career of Marisa Camacho, CEO of Tipsa, recognised with the “José Luis Carreras” Logistics Manager Award.
Sustainability was another key pillar. The award in this category, sponsored by Prologis, was won by CHEP Spain for its “AIRSHARED” project, a collaborative network to reduce emissions.
In the healthcare logistics category, sponsored by Nacex, the winner was the 12 de Octubre University Hospital for its comprehensive logistics model for a high-complexity hospital, where projects from the Virgen del Rocío and Gregorio Marañón hospitals also competed.
Innovation and communication played a leading role. The Communication and Marketing Award went to CTT Express for its internal wellbeing campaign “Somos CTT Express”. In the Start-up category, sponsored by Logistics Spain, Grasshopper Air Mobility triumphed with its proposal for autonomous delivery drones. Furthermore, academic research was recognised with the University Award for Shaghayegh Rahnama from the University of Zaragoza.
The event, opened by Ana González, President of the CEL, and Markus Mau of the European Logistics Association, concluded with the association’s annual review and its roadmap towards 2026. These awards consolidate their role as a barometer for the trends shaping the future of logistics in Spain: collaboration, digitalisation, sustainability, and a focus on people.
